But it may have actually been the writing not the acting...couldn't tell. Also could be related to German -> English translation.Puzzles pretty good.Some nicely drawn scenes.Graphical glitches here and there...not many bugs found.I would only recommend this for adventure game fans of Secret Files and\/or the developer (Animation Arts). Otherwise, it is just too bland. As such, my general consensus is Not Recommended.. As with the previous game "Secret Files 1" I had a blast with this one as well, the game is very divers in scenery, has a great plot, nice puzzles, great diversity of chars with very decent speach actors and also some funny references to the first part.All in all again a gem of a game, highly recommended!. I finished the first Secret Files on the Wii, and I have to say that Part 2 so far is much nicer. The graphics are much better and the controls on the mouse are much easier to use. I like how the game ties into part 1 nicely.. Whilst not as good as the original Secret Files, this sequel does have its highlights and features an engaging plot. Worth buying if you want to know what happened next in the lives of Nina Kalenkov and Max Gruber.. This is a pitiful excuse for a game and a disgrace for the genre. I clawed my way through it, and by the time I was halfway through I was THIS close to going insane from:-) the lousy voice acting-) the wannabe funny dialogues, that end up being nothing short of awkwardly bad-) the ludicrous story and-) the disastrous "riddles".Here's a random example of the latter: Find random "noisemaker" on the ground at a zoo, use it to lure a pair of DUCKS halfway through Paris back to the Zoo so that the zookeeper will give you one of the baguettes he's convieniently sharing to feed them, give baguette to homeless man who apparently spent his entire life waiting for such a selfless act and immediately turns sober so that you can have his old booze, which you then use to be incarcerated for being drunk only to bust back out 5 minutes later with about the lamest of explanations).In short, this game tries, it really does. But it just falls short in pretty much every aspect that make an adventure game good, and just makes for a very tedious experience of about 4 hours from start to finish. Avoid if you can.. A pretty good traditional point and click adventure game.I wanted to sit back, solve puzzles and zone out to lots of dialog and this game delivered.I like it better than the first game. They both took me about 8 hours to get through.The only bad thing is the voice of Max in this game is super terrible. He hams it up and is over the top in a bad way. His monolouge voice is the worst thing ever. Nina's new voice actress isn't bad. She likes to chew the scenery a lot. I thought she was Sisko from DS9 a few times. Anyway not a bad game if you like this genre. Lost Horizon is a bit better tho.. I love this game! I guess at first it was odd with the different voices than in Tunguska but still really fun to play :) Update #15.7 - Fixed a loading issue and an exploit.: Hello there,So here is another update. A couple bugs came up that needed fast fixing.Fixed a bug that would cause your farm to lose upgrades when loading after you had purchased the dog upgrade.Fixed an exploit that would allow you to duplicate items in the trade screen using the load and unload buttons.Fixed some typos.Adjusted some LOD distances for added detail in some of the newer props.Sorry that there isn't anything else, but I really did need to fix that loading bug asap.Cheers,Stardog.. Update #14.3 - Important fixes, and information on the new map.: Howdy,I prefer to deliver juicy well-rounded updates, but I also try my best to keep on top of any major bugs that show up, so in some instances I feel I need to release a smaller update to address any issues that do crop up.This is one of those cases.Fixed a major bug that could render your saved game unplayable in some cases.Fixed a bug that would cause years to not calculate correctly and appear to stop progressing all together. Note - if you play a saved game that encountered this bug you may need to wait up to 4 seasons before this fix will work.Added a slight chance for being able to survive the plague.Various other small fixes and tweaks.Also, I have started on the new map and have the basic terrain all done. I'm now adding in all the villages and extra content that comes with this new map. It is by far the biggest and most advanced yet and has a lot of room for exploration as well as facilities for new content that the other maps do not. So expect great new content to come out at the same time as the new map. Patch #9.5 - Just some small things: Hey folks,I just wanted to get a few things sorted, so here is a new patch. Your thieves will now be paid on commission instead of a wage. So for every amount they pickpocket for you, they take a small cut, and for every cart they waylay they get to keep one item. You've always been able to befriend guards to get better treatment when breaking the law, but now this will also work with your thieves. So if one of your thieves is caught by a guard who is your friend, there is a good chance for leniency. You can now hide the selection UI of a selected building, character, cart, etc Fixed up some issues with the class based building limit Previously you could get half way through character creation then exit to the main menu and start the tutorial with that character. This was not by design and could mess up large portions of the tutorial. I'll iron this out with time.Child labour. Children as young as 12 can now work for you. Less efficient, but also cost half the wage. Changed the pregnancy system. Pregnancy is now applied as an affliction which means the pregnant person cannot work. The pregnancy will last for x number of seconds based on your game length. No more exact times. Due to this change, if you load a saved game from a previous version any pregnant woman will no longer be pregnant.You can now tell your thieves to case buildings, which will allow you to see inside the building's inventory for a short amount of time. Linux version delay.: Hi folks,In an attempt to get the Windows version as stable as possible before release, and with the continual issues i am having with building for Linux, i have decided that I will need to delay the Linux version. I am unable to give a date, but I will continue to work on it after the release of the Windows build. Terribly sorry about that.. Update #16.5 - Gifts, firewood, carts: Hi,A new small update has been released.If you have wood in your inventory you can use one of the chopping blocks around town to split it into firewood.You can now give people items directly from your inventory. Right click on them and select 'Give Item'. A person who is unwell and is given medicine or is hungry and is given food will be more appreciative of said item compared to someone who isn't in need.You can now assign your player to drive a cart by right clicking on one of your tiny or small carts that has no driver.Waylay fixed for good now.Increased the max buy and sell market prices.Thieves should no longer forget their working position after saving and loading.Unwell people should now properly display as unwell after loading games.Many tweaks to health system because a lot of people were getting sick and dying. This change does not help people who're already sick.Many small fixes that could cause odd things to happen.Fixed a bug that could cause thousands of people to spawn.
